Is polished concrete slippery?
Not inherently — a polished floor is no more slippery than tile when dry, though any smooth surface becomes slick when wet. We can apply slip-resistant treatments and protective sealers in entryways, kitchens, and other areas that see moisture.
Can stains and cracks be addressed?
To a large degree, yes. Grinding removes the top layer of the slab, which eliminates many surface stains and imperfections outright. Deeper cracks and staining can be repaired, though some variation remains as part of the floor’s authentic character.
Does polished concrete need sealing?
