How long does epoxy flooring last?
With proper maintenance and premium materials, epoxy flooring lasts 10–15 years or more. Most industry-standard systems last 5–7 years; we use industrial-grade two-component epoxy, which is what extends that lifespan. Usage level, maintenance, installation quality and material quality all affect how long a floor lasts.
Is epoxy flooring slippery?
Standard epoxy has a smooth, glossy finish that can be slippery when wet. We offer anti-slip additives that add traction without sacrificing appearance, plus textured finishes for kitchens, bathrooms, and areas prone to moisture. How much does epoxy flooring cost?

What if my concrete is cracked or uneven?
Minor cracks under 1/4 inch are repaired and sealed before coating, and that repair is included in most projects. For significant cracks, uneven surfaces, or extensive damage we recommend a concrete overlay — a thin layer of new concrete over the existing surface that creates a perfect foundation. Overlays cost more than standard epoxy but far less than full replacement.
How long does the installation take?
Small residential projects (300–500 sq ft) take 1–2 days, medium (500–1,000 sq ft) 2–3 days, and large (1,000+ sq ft) about 4 days. Day one is surface preparation, day two application, day three the second coat and finishes. Curing takes 24–48 hours before full use, though foot traffic is fine after 24 hours.
What’s the difference between epoxy and polished concrete?
Epoxy is a coating applied on top of the concrete — high-gloss, customizable in color, and more stain-resistant. Polished concrete grinds and polishes the existing slab for a natural, industrial look with no coating and a lower cost. Want color, gloss, or stain protection? Epoxy. Want a modern, eco-conscious, budget-friendly finish? Polished.
Can epoxy be removed if I want to change it later?
Yes, but removal means heavy grinding or scarifying — time-intensive, expensive, and it leaves the concrete rough. Recoating with a new color or finish is almost always the better option. Since epoxy lasts 10+ years, it’s worth choosing a finish you’ll still be happy with years from now.
